Monks Blank Rams in 2010 Opener, 2-0
FRAMINGHAM, MA – Saint Joseph’s College (1-0) opened the 2010 campaign with a 2-0 victory over Framingham State (0-1) on Thursday afternoon. Kayla Nowell ’11 (Bridgton, ME) netted the eventual game-winning goal just over five minutes into play and SJC keeper Meaghan Johnson ’12 (Portland, ME/Cheverus) made five saves in the shutout effort.

SJC starter Andrew Keirstead '10 (Westbrook, ME) earned the victory with 5.1 innings of seven-hit ball and Mason Roberge '11 (Franklin, NH) closed the door with 3.2 frames of scoreless relief in the triumph.

Hannah Gajewski '12 (Biddeford, ME/McAuley) won both of her individual events and also swam a leg for both of the Monks' top-finishing relay teams. St. Joe's won 8 of the 13 events overall.
