2012: Played in 40 games with 37 starts – 21 behind the plate and 16 as the Monks’ designated hitter…paced the Royal Blue with a .389 (51-131) batting average and a .437 on base percentage…became the first rookie to lead the team in hitting since Jesse LaCasse hit .479 for the Monks as a freshman in 2000…registered 22 runs, five doubles, a triple, and 28 RBI…also led the team in multiple-hit games (17) and posted a 12-game hitting streak during his first NCAA season…added seven multi-RBI efforts, including a pair of three RBI games…held without a hit in just seven games…notched his first collegiate hit, a single to center, in his first at bat and later scored a run in the second inning of a victory over Framingham State on March 12th…went 2-4 with a run scored in a loss to Wheaton College the next day…was 2-4 with a run, a double, and two RBI in a triumph over New Jersey City University on March 24th…went 2-4 with three RBI versus the Gothic Knights the following day…added two hits in three trips with a run, a double, and an RBI in a the Monks’ home-opening win over UMass.-Boston on March 30th…was 2-3 with a pair of RBI against Albertus Magnus the next day…helped the Monks take two from GNAC-rival Suffolk University by going 3-7 with two runs and three RBI on April 1st…continued to punish conference foes by going 4-7 with a run, a double, and two RBI in a twinbill sweep over Emerson College on April 7th…went 5-6 with three runs and two RBI in a pair of victories over Rivier College on April 16th…was 3-5 with three runs and an RBI in a triumph over Daniel Webster on April 21st...went 2-5 with a double and two RBI and belted the game-winning hit in a GNAC Championship victory over Suffolk on April 29th…collected GNAC Tournament MVP and all-tourney honors for his play in three playoff contests…was 2-5 with a run and three RBI in a win over Bates College on May 9th…selected as the GNAC Rookie of the Year and earned Second Team All-GNAC honors…also claimed D3Baseball.com Third Team All-New England and NEIBA Third Team All-New England accolades…collected GNAC Rookie of the Week honors on April 16th and listed on the conference weekly honor roll twice as a freshman...earned SJC Athletics Male Newcomer of the Year and SJC Baseball Rookie of the Year honors as well.
High School: Caught for Mac McKew at Cheverus High School…helped the Stags win the 2011 Maine State Class A Championship…hit .453 with an OBP of .500 while committing no errors…earned All Defensive Team honors both junior and senior years...named to the 2011 All-State Team senior year…member of the National Honor Society and was on the honor roll all four years at Cheverus… played under Mac McKew for Cheverus Legion, hitting .444 with .550 OBP without committing an error behind the plate.
