2010 Women's Lacrosse Season Review
STANDISH, ME – The 2010 Saint Joseph’s College Women’s Lacrosse team enjoyed a banner season under first-year Head Coach Anna Gordon. The Monks, 10-4-1 overall and 7-1 in GNAC contests, set 17 new team records and posted a 10-game undefeated streak during the year.

STANDISH, ME - #3 Norwich University (8-6, 7-1 GNAC) edged Saint Joseph’s College (10-4-1, 7-1 GNAC), 12-10, in a GNAC Women’s Lacrosse Tournament semifinal match at Westerlea Way Field on Wednesday afternoon. Alyssa Marchant ’11 (Wakefield, MA) led the Monks with three goals in the season-ending loss.

NEWPORT, RI – The St. Joe’s Women’s Lacrosse team fell to 10-3-1 on the year with a 23-10 loss to Salve Regina University (4-9) on Monday afternoon. Alyssa Marchant (Wakefield, MA) netted five goals in the losing effort.

PORTLAND, ME – Emerson College (7-4, 7-1 GNAC) defeated Saint Joseph’s (10-2-1, 7-1 GNAC), 18-11, in the final conference regular season game for both teams on a rainy Saturday afternoon at Deering Memorial Stadium. Lauren Hagerman ’10 (Scarborough, ME) led the Monks’ offensive effort with three goals in the loss.

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph’s (9-1-1, 6-0 GNAC) saw its hopes of an undefeated season dashed on Tuesday, as the University of Southern Maine (5-6) defeated the Monks, 14-7, at Westerlea Way Field. Lauren Hagerman ’10 (Scarborough, ME) played a hand in all seven of the SJC goals, with two scores and five assists in the losing effort.

PORTLAND, ME –Saint Joseph’s College (6-0-1, 3-0 GNAC) remained unbeaten with a thrilling four-overtime victory over GNAC rival Norwich University (2-4, 2-1 GNAC) at Deering Memorial Stadium on Friday evening. Junior attacker Lizzie Farley (Scarborough, ME) scored a free-position goal in the 83rd minute of play to lift the Monks to the 13-12 triumph.
