Monks Back on Track with 3-0 Win Over UMF

STANDISH, ME - The St. Joe's Volleybal team snapped a three-match losing streak and improved to 14-13 overall with a 3-0 win over non-league opponent University of Maine-Farmington (8-10) on Tuesday evening at the Harold Alfond Center. Kiah Begley '13 (Berwick, ME/St. Thomas Aquinas) had a match-high 13 assists with 5 digs and 3 aces in the triumph.

Sarah Hawkes '13 (Pownal, ME) collected a match-best 6 kills with 7 digs and a pair of blocks and Caitlin Cleary '13 (Scarborough, ME) registered 12 digs, 4 kills and 2 aces for Saint Joseph's.

Jenna Rowan '11 (Kittery, ME) notched a double-double for UMF with 12 digs and 10 kills and teammate Katie Allen '11 (Bucksport, ME) also netted a double dip with 11 digs and 11 assists in the losing effort.

St. Joe's will play in a GNAC tri-match with Norwich (2:00 PM) at Mount Ida (4:00 PM) on Saturday, while UMF will play at Thomas on Wednesday, October 28th at 7:00 PM.
