Whaley Earns Third Rookie of the Week Honor

STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College freshman Evan Whaley (Merrimack, N.H.) has been named as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week for the third time this season, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

Whaley won the 100-Fly (1:00.14) and 500-Free (5:15.36) events and finished second in a tight 200-Free (1:53.65) finish at Regis College on Friday.

The freshman standout has enjoyed a terrific start to his collegiate career with 12 individual victories in five competitions this season. His 500-Free time on Friday is the best mark recorded by a GNAC swimmer so far during the 2019-20 campaign.
