Women Place Sixth, Men 11th at Plymouth State

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Saint Joseph's College indoor track & field teams competed at Plymouth State University on Saturday. The women placed sixth with 35 points while the men finished 11th with 17 points.

Senior Alysha Smith(Jaffrey, N.H.) and sophomore Meghan Glisson(Merrimack, N.H.) set new program records in the event. Smith broke the team's 60-meter dash mark with an 8.34 time while Glisson established the 500-meter dash record with a 1:30.61 performance.


  • Sophomore Michael Mason (East Bridgewater, Mass.) placed sixth in the 500-meter dash (1:14.45)
  • Senior Marshall Berninghausen (Brasher Falls, N.Y.) was sixth in the weight throw (12.50m)
  • Sophomore Alex Fitzgerald (Lebanon, Maine) finished seventh in the triple jump (11.67m)
  • Brandon Whitlock (Westbrook, Maine), Fitzgerald, Mason, and Michael Brooks (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) placed third in the distance medley (11:26.27)


  • Senior Sarah Curtin(Strafford, N.H.) finished third in the 800-meter run (2:31.65)
  • Junior Lillian Bisset(Jefferson, Maine) placed fourth in the 60-meter hurdles (10.07) and 10th in the 200-meter dash (29.18)
  • Smith advanced to the 60-meter dash finals where she placed fifth with an 8.34 time (team record) and also placed sixth in the 200-meter dash with a 28.18 effort
  • Sophomore Marissa Hoffman(Harwood, Vt.) finished seventh in the 200-meter dash (28.32) and 10th in the long jump (4.31m)
  • Sophomore Holly Moores(Rollinsford, N.H.) was seventh in the 1-mile run (5:58.92)
  • Junior Marisa Quirion(Gardiner, Maine) finished seventh in the 5000-meter run (21:49.33)
  • Freshman Samantha VanDeMoere(Thornton, N.H.) placed eighth in the 400-meter dash (1:04.93)
  • Freshman Kaylee Todisco(Wilmington, Mass.) was eighth in the 200-meter dash (28.92)
  • Freshman Lauren Fisher(Hampton Falls, N.H.) finished ninth in the 1-mile run (6:07.93)
  • Freshman Maelle Tati-Pamboy(Portland, Maine) placed ninth in the long jump (4.48m)
  • Glisson finished 10th in the 500-meter dash with a 1:30.61 effort (team record)
  • VanDeMoere, Hoffman, Glisson, and Curtin finished third in the 4x400 meter relay (4:33.40)


Saint Joseph's will compete in the Thomas College Invitational next Saturday. The event will take place at Colby College.
