Please share some of your favorite SJC memories - on and off the field:
My favorite memories at SJC were those I spent with my teammates and coaches. I was fortunate enough to go on multiple trips to North Carolina, England, and Washington DC as a player. Playing against Davidson in NC we were able to meet Steph Curry. Off the court I would say the time spent in the Chalet and bouncing back and forth between the suites hanging with other students. In the classroom it was the time spent in Tom Dann’s classes.
Notable performances as an SJC athlete (records, championships, individual accolades):
Scoring 31 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in a game to join the 1,000-point club with my teammate/classmate Matt Medeiros. Hitting a game winner against Rivier University.
Where are you employed? Please tell us your job title, duties, how long you've been there, etc.:
I am the owner of a State Farm agency in Windham Maine that opened June 1st, 2019. The agency offers insurance products and financial services. This includes things like homeowners, auto, disability, and life insurance. We pride ourselves on giving back to the community and trying to help as many people as we can. Currently we have four fully licensed sales representatives who can be of service.
Please tell us about your family:
My wife is Leanne (Lessard) Jobin who graduated from SJC in 2014 as a nursing major. After becoming a Registered Nurse, she went back to school and is now a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Maine Medical Center. Together we have two wonderful Golden Retrievers, Mason and Ruby.
What do you do for fun?
Nowadays the main things I like to do are play golf and spend time on Sebago Lake. Leanne and I are members at The Woodlands for golf and have a family camp on the lake in Standish. The camp is 10 minutes or so away from SJC so every once in a while we will take the dogs for a walk around campus.
