STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College of Maine Athletics invites alumni, family, fans, and friends of the Monks to make an impact on Giving Day, Wednesday, March 18, 2026, by supporting Royal Blue, the fundraising initiative dedicated to enhancing the student-athlete experience.
Giving Day is an opportunity for the Saint Joseph's community to come together in support of the people, programs, and possibilities that make the College special. This year, donors are encouraged to help the Monks community "turn the map blue" as Saint Joseph's works toward securing gifts from all 50 states. Reaching that milestone will unlock a $50,000 pledge, further strengthening support for students across campus.
In addition to the 50-state challenge, Saint Joseph's has set a goal of reaching 450 donors on Giving Day. Achieving that participation total will unlock a special gift from the Board of Trustees, creating even more momentum for the College and its students. Every gift, no matter the size, plays a role in helping the Monks reach those goals.
For Athletics, Giving Day support through Royal Blue directly benefits Saint Joseph's student-athletes and helps provide the resources they need to succeed in competition, in the classroom, and throughout their collegiate experience. Gifts to Royal Blue support individual and team development, team travel experiences, athletic facility enhancements, student-athlete programming, and more.
Supporters may also choose to give to other important Giving Day priorities, including Community Rising, which addresses the College's greatest needs, and SJC Scholarships, which provide critical financial support to deserving students. This school year alone, Saint Joseph's has awarded more than $19 million in scholarship aid, underscoring the importance of donor generosity in helping students remain enrolled and complete their degree.
Whether giving in honor of a favorite coach, teammate, professor, or a personal Saint Joseph's experience, every contribution helps strengthen the Monks community. No matter where alumni and supporters are located, they remain a valued part of Saint Joseph's College of Maine and its continued growth.
