STANDISH, Maine – The 2026 Saint Joseph's College men's soccer regular-season schedule has been announced. The Monks are slated to play 16 games this fall, beginning at home against the University of Maine at Farmington on Tuesday, September 1, at 6:00 p.m. and concluding on Saturday, October 24, with another home matchup against Mitchell College.
2026 Schedule at a Glance
Will Pike '11 returns for his seventh season coaching the team. Saint Joseph's will play 11 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contests and five non-conference matches. The Monks will host the majority of their opponents, with nine home games compared to seven away games.
The Monks face five non-conference opponents throughout the season, beginning with their season opener against Farmington on September 1. They will also host No. 23 University of Massachusetts Boston (September 6) and Bates College (September 8), while traveling to Maine Maritime (September 4).
Conference & Postseason
Saint Joseph's will host Rivier University (September 12) to open GNAC competition. The conference slate includes home games against the University of Saint Joseph Connecticut (September 19), Albertus Magnus College (September 26), Elms College (October 10), Norwich University (October 13), and Mitchell College (October 24).
The GNAC Tournament begins on October 31, followed by the semifinals on November 4 and the conference championship on November 7. The tournament champion earns the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament, which begins on November 14.
Looking Back
Saint Joseph's looks to improve on its 2025 season, when the Monks finished 8-9-1 overall and 7-4-1 in conference play, earning the No. 4 seed in the GNAC Tournament. They faced Dean in the first round, winning 3-1, before falling to Saint Joseph (CT) in the semifinals by a score of 3-0.

SEP. 6 • 1:00 PM Nationally Ranked Test
vs. No. 23 UMass Boston
The Monks face an early test when No. 23 UMass Boston comes to Standish for a non-conference matchup. The Beacons are coming off a Round of 32 appearance in last year's NCAA Tournament, while the Monks will look to avenge their last matchup, a 0-4 loss in 2014.
SEP. 12 • 3:00 PM GNAC Opener
vs. Rivier University
Saint Joseph's will look to continue its 17-game winning streak against Rivier in the conference opener. The Monks will also look to hold Rivier scoreless for the 13th consecutive game.
SEP. 19 • 4:00 PM Playoff Rematch
vs. Saint Joseph (CT)
Saint Joseph (CT) got the best of the Monks in two matchups last year, including eliminating Saint Joseph's from the GNAC playoffs with a 3-0 victory. Saint Joseph's will look to dethrone the back-to-back GNAC champions in this midseason matchup.
