WINTHROP, Mass. – Saint Joseph's College swept the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Cross Country weekly awards, as graduate student Jacob Pelletier (Augusta, Maine) was named Runner of the Week and freshman Sam Tooley (Camden, Maine) collected Rookie of the Week honors.

Pelletier and Tooley led the Monks at Saturday's Maine State Meet, hosted by Bowdoin College. Pelletier placed 32nd among 157 runners with a time of 26:18.2, while Tooley finished 54th in 27:14.4. Their efforts helped Saint Joseph's improve three places from its finish at the 2025 Maine State Meet, while Pelletier lowered his time from last year's race by two minutes and 37 seconds.

The award is the seventh GNAC Runner of the Week honor of Pelletier's career, while Tooley collects his first collegiate weekly accolade. The Monks last swept the conference's men's cross country weekly awards on October 21, 2024.

Saint Joseph's returns to action on October 4 at the Maslan Invitational, hosted by Colby-Sawyer College. The race is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM.
