Norton and Paxton, Mass. - The Monks dropped
two games last weekend on a two-game swing to Massachusetts and
remain winless on the season.
On Saturday, the team traveled to Norton to take on Wheaton
College. The Lyons (7-11) notched two goals and out-shot St. Joe's
17-0 in the first half. Wheaton then went on to record five
second-half goals to secure a 7-0 victory.
Sophomore Darcy Ward (Dresden, ME) had two of
the three shots for SJC and sophomore keeper Mandy
Gosselin (Lebanon, ME) had 9 saves.
Anna Maria College earned a 2-0 win on Sunday as the Monks gave
up two first half goals and were unable to convert scoring
opportunities. Sophomore Kelsey Moody (Gardiner, ME) had seven
saves in the loss.
