Ostrowski Picks up Fifth Assist

Ostrowski (Albany, NY) picked up her fifth assist of the
season, setting up sophomore Gina Gaetani (Auburn,
ME) for the game winner as the Monks defeated Lasell 2-1. St. Joe's
improves to 4-6 on the season.
St. Joe's got on board early as a break away with
Ostrowski led to a penalty stroke by junior Darcey
Ward (Dresden, ME) at 5:47. This marks Ward's ninth goal
of the season and she is 3-for-3 on penalty strokes.
The Monks extended the lead to 2-0 with Gaetani's
goal just a minute and a half into the second half. The Lasers
responded with a goal by Caitlyn Walker at 52:58, but St. Joe's
dominated the game with speed and quickness and secured the win.
First-year Karrie Sirois
(Thomaston, ME) had three saves for St. Joe's.
The team travels to Maine-Farmington on Saturday,
October 14, for a 12:00 p.m. game.
