Farmington, ME - St. Joe's lost 3-0 to Maine Farmington on
Saturday and drops to 4-7 on the season. This was Farmington's
seventh straight victory, and they improve to 10-1 overall.
UMF scored its first goal on a unique play, when Alyssa St. Pierre
(Jay, ME) fired the ball on goal after a restart and it weaved its
way into goal past a crowd of Monk defenders. After the
intermission, Bethany Marshall (York, ME) scored on a cross from
Kristin Chambers (Gorham, ME) at the 43:39 mark, while Chambers
completed the scoring at the 50:51 mark, knocking home a rebounded
shot by Amanda Pullen (Dexter, ME).
First year Karrie Sirois (Thomaston, ME) had 5
saves for the Monks.
