Gorham, ME - The SJC men's soccer team dropped to 1-2 overall following a 3-0 loss at Southern Maine. Freshman Josh Amoroso (Gorham, ME) scored a pair of goals and sophomore Sinisa Bajic (Belgrade, Serbia) scored the final goal for the Huskies in the 72nd minute.

In a match marked by numerous missed opportunities, the Monks failed to convert scoring chances and the Huskies held the advantage in shots (17-13) and corner kicks (5-3).

USM senior Chris Willard (Willimantic, CT) had 4 saves in his second straight shut-out and freshman goalkeeper Greg Cavanaugh (Haverhill, MA) had three saves in the loss.

The Monks host Becker College during Homecoming Weekend, on Saturday, Sept. 16, at 1:00 PM.
