Boston, MA - The Monks undefeated streak ended at 11 games after being defeated 3-2 in OT on Saturday by Emmanuel College. The Saints struck first when SO Tiffany Dahlstrom scored in the 5th minute. The Monks tied it up in the 22nd minute when FY Jessica Needham (E. Bridgewater, MA) scored her fourth goal of the season off a pass from FY Mikayla Call (Portland, ME). In the 49th minute a Monks player was issued a red card, meaning the SJC Women would be shorthanded for the remainder of the contest.

The battle of the two unbeaten GNAC teams remained tied until the 79th minute when the outnumbered Monks took the lead. SO Anna Willis (Gorham, ME) took a pass from FY Whitney Linindoll (Paris, ME) to notch the go-ahead goal. In the 88th minute Emmanuel's SR Erin Kelly scored to send the game into overtime. Six minutes into OT FY Amber Di Nucci scored to end the game along with the Monks hopes of taking over sole possession of first place in the GNAC.

The Saints (10-2-1, 9-0 GNAC) out-shot the Monks (11-1-0, 7-1-0 GNAC) 26-6 in the contest, including 6-0 in overtime.
