Dickinson Topples Saint Joseph's, 4-0

UNION, N.J. – Dickinson College (11-5) defeated Saint Joseph's College (11-6), 4-0, in a non-conference field hockey match played on the campus of Kean University on Sunday afternoon.

For the Monks, freshman keeper Megan Baker (Gorham, Maine) made eight stops and sophomore defender Hayley Winslow (Falmouth, Maine) notched a pair of defensive saves in the losing bid.

Junior Catherine Perlmutter (Blue Bell, Pa.) put the Devils on the board, 15 minutes into the contest. Classmate Merritt Davis (Baltimore. Md.) gave Dickinson a 2-0 lead at halftime, scoring off an assist from sophomore Kim Monteferante (Putman Valley, N.Y.) with 13 minutes remaining.

First-year Chelsea Kramer (New Vernon, N.J./Morristown Beard) tacked on a pair of second half goals, scoring the first off an assist from Perlmutter at the 24 minute mark. Kramer scored her seventh of the season with just 2:11 to play in the game for the final of 4-0.

Emily Fuss (Newtown Square, Pa.) and sophomore Freddie Bancroft (Old Greenwich, Conn.) shared the shutout as the Devils held a 15-1 shot advantage.

Saint Joseph's closes out the 2015 regular-season docket with a home contest versus Plymouth State University on Wednesday at 3:00 PM. The Monks will honor the program's four seniors – Chelsea Bordeau (Rumford, Maine), Amanda Celata (Dedham, Mass.), Brenna Fitzgibbon (Exeter, N.H.) and Meghan Williams (Greenland, N.H./St. Thomas Aquinas) – with a brief Senior Day Ceremony prior the start of the contest.
