HOW IT HAPPENED

Albertus Magnus opened the scoring early in the opening half as Piccirillo netted her third marker of the season on a free kick, following a Monks' foul. During the final 20 minutes of the first stanza, the visitors were unable to find the back of the net on three different occasions and would trail 1-0 heading into halftime.

Midway through the second frame, the visitors would tie the game at one in the 68th minute off a goal from Haley DaGraca. Teammate Emily DeLuca started the play with a through ball that led DaGraca to score. Six minutes later, DaGraca delivered the game-winning strike to send the Monks home with the conference victory. DaGraca was able to find the ball off a rebound attempt from Brianna Welch.

Junior goalkeeper Lexie Fenn (Oakville, Conn.) continued her strong play, turning aside two shots in the loss, while Brooke Troup recorded a seven-save performance to earn her 10th win of the fall.
