BOSTON, Mass. – Emerson College (3-0-0) defeated Saint Joseph's College (2-3-0), 4-1, in a non-conference women's soccer contest on Wednesday evening.

Junior Madison Michaud (Presque Isle, Maine) opened the game scoring at the 16:35 mark when she netted her team-leading fifth goal of the season, but the Lions tied the match 17 minutes later when Gina Lukoskie potted an unassisted tally.

Emerson controlled the pace of play for the remainder of the contest, as the hosts rattled off three more goals to account for the 4-1 final.

SJC senior keeper Adia Grogan (Kennebunk, Maine) made eight saves in the setback.

Saint Joseph's will host Anna Maria College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contest on Saturday at 1:30 PM.
