Box Score PAXTON, Maine – Saint Joseph's College blanked Anna Maria College, 3-0, in the final Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's soccer contest on Tuesday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Monks broke the game open in the 43rd minute of play with a first-half goal from Shauna Clark, assisted by Fridah Mwaghania. Sydney Gallop made it a 2-0 game when she scored unassisted just four minutes into the second half. Emilenne Biddings-Augustine brought the Monks lead to 3-0, scoring the final Monks goal of the game at 56:15.
TEAM STATS:
Saint Joseph's held the lead in shots (21-11). The Monks and AMCATS were evenly matched on corner kicks with three a piece.
THE KEEPERS:
SJC freshman Ashlyn Guerette, made two stops for the Monks. Anna Maria keeper Kortney Clark made ten saves for he AMCATS in the losing effort.
