STANDISH, Maine. – Saint Joseph's College and the Riv Raiders dueled to a 0-1 draw in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Raider's lone shot in the first half found the back of the net in the 25th minute of play and were unable to score for the remainder of the contest. Nadia Laxa's free kick gave the Raiders a 1-0 lead heading into the second half. 

The score held fast 0-1 with neither team able to find the back of the net in the second half despite both teams having six shots. 

TEAM STATS:

Saint Joseph's held the lead in shots (13-8), shots on goal (7-5), and corner kicks (4-3) in the match. Sydney Gallop led the Monks with scoring opportunities notching five shots.

THE KEEPERS:

SJC freshman goalkeeper Ashlyn Guerrette made four saves for the Monks with Bri Nugent making seven for the raiders.
