Box Score FRANKLIN, MA-In a commanding performance, Saint Joseph's College secured a 4-0 win over Dean College on Saturday.
Saint Joseph's tested Dean College's goalkeeper Jake Godwin early on with promising shots from Gus Ford and Nate Sottak before Nick Marion put Saint Joseph's on the board with the first goal,
Dean College responded with a scoring attempts in the 6th and 16th minute of play, both of which were expertly saved by Saint Joseph's goalkeeper Liam Foley. Despite their efforts, Dean College struggled to break down the SJC defense.
Saint Joseph's continued to press, with Rion Dos Santos doubling the lead in the 27th minute. The Monks' dominance was evident as they consistently threatened Dean's keeper, with multiple attempts from Kyle Clairmont, Diego Robinson, and others.
The Monks maintained their momentum through the second half of play. Gus Ford's goal in the 60th minute, assisted by Dos Santos, further solidified their lead. The defensive efforts of Saint Joseph's and the goalkeeping prowess of Foley kept Dean at bay.
Curtis Metcalf capped off the scoring with a header in the 85th minute, assisted by Divin Mpinga, to seal a 4-0 victory for Saint Joseph's.
