Box Score STANDISH, ME. - The Saint Joseph's College Monks (13-4, 5-1) defeated the Elms College Blazers (3-14, 3-3) 74-54 in a GNAC men's basketball contest on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The first half consisted of back and forth play until the Monks began to pull away at the 17:04 mark when
John Paul Frazier (York ,ME) made back to back three pointers, giving the Monks a 12 point lead. The Blazers continued to chip away in an attempt to keep up with the Monks but were unable. The Monks led by as many as 18 points during the first half, shooting 50% compared to the Blazers 30.7% to outscore them 44-29.
The Monks rode the momentum into the second half, leading by as many as 29 points while holding the Blazers to 25 points total in the second half. The Monks outscored the Blazers 30-25 in the second for the 74-54 victory.
LEADERS – SAINT JOSEPH'S:
- John Paul Frazier (York, ME) led the Monks with a game high 21 points, two rebounds, two assists, and a steal
- Remijo Wani (Portland, ME) tallied 18 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and two steals

- Wani Donato (Portland, ME) added 10 points, five rebounds, and one assist

- Andrew Ciaglo led the Blazers with 12 points, two rebounds, and an assist
- Edgardo Jacob Cancel notched 11 points, four rebounds, and two assists
- Aden Goffe recorded nine points, seven rebounds, an assist, and a steal

Today's game marks the 5th contest between the Monks and the Blazers. With the victory, the Monks improve to 5-0 against the Blazers.
