STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College (15-11) cruised past Thomas College (6-14), 3-0 (25-12, 25-14, 25-17), in a non-conference volleyball match on Mike McDevitt Court at the Harold Alfond Center on Tuesday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Monks posted a stellar .381 attack rate – their best mark of the season – with 47 kills and 10 errors in 97 attempts while holding the Terriers to a .050 mark (15 kills – 11 errors – 80 attempts) in a match that required just 63 minutes to complete. Saint Joseph's held at least a share of the lead for all but a handful of serves in the one-sided performance.
TEAM STATS:
Saint Joseph's held considerable advantages in kills (47-15), attack percentage (.381 - .050), assists (45-14), service aces (8-3), and digs (51-31) in the non-conference triumph.
LEADERS – SAINT JOSEPH'S:
	- Junior Greta Mackintosh (Plymouth, Mass.) posted a .556 hitting rate with 11 kills and only one error in 18 tries
- Senior Victoria Briones (El Paso, Texas) upped the ante with a .600 hitting percentage after delivering nine kills on 15 tries with no errors while picking up five digs
- Sophomore setter Riley Greenley (Newark, Del.) tallied 24 assists and 10 digs
- Junior Larisa Comolli (Nashua, N.H.) contributed seven kills and a .462 attack rate
- Junior Tamya Johnson (Boston, Mass.) chipped in with 10 assists
- Junior Jessica Christman (Virginia Beach, Va.) notched 12 digs
LEADERS – THOMAS:
	- Freshman Addison Level (Augusta, Maine) and senior Kenzie Bills (Edson, Alberta) posted four kills apiece
- Junior Lindsay Pool (Henderson, Nev.) delivered 10 assists and six digs
- Junior Camille Gibson (Cortland Manor, N.Y.) notched a match-high 13 digs
HISTORICALLY SPEAKING:
With the victory, Saint Joseph's improves to 35-5 all-time versus Thomas College and has now defeated the Terriers in 18-consecutive meetings.
