VOLLEYBALL GNAC SEMIFINAL PREVIEW: #3 Saint Joseph's @ #2 Lasell

STANDISH, Maine – #3 Saint Joseph's College (18-12, 11-2 GNAC) will play at #2 Lasell University (23-3, 12-1 GNAC) in a 2025 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Volleyball Tournament Semifinal on Thursday, November 13 at 6:00 PM.

Semifinal victors will meet in the GNAC Championship on Saturday, November 15, with the league title and an automatic NCAA Tournament berth (beginning November 20) at stake.

QUICK FACTS:
Saint Joseph's is 7–2 on the road this fall, while Lasell is 11–2 at home and riding a seven-match home winning streak. Over their last six contests, SJC is 5–1 and Lasell is a perfect 6–0, with the Lasers having won 12 straight overall. The Monks feature one of the most balanced attacks in the GNAC and are the only team in the league with six players over 100 kills. THE LAST TIME THEY MET:
The Monks and Lasers last faced off at the Harold Alfond Center on October 25, when Lasell earned a 3–1 (25–18, 13–25, 25–22, 25–17) victory. After dropping the opening set, Saint Joseph's responded with a dominant second frame, hitting .429 with 16 kills while holding Lasell to just six. The third set featured four ties and two lead changes before the visitors pulled ahead late and carried that momentum into a strong finish in the fourth.

For Saint Joseph's, the top performers were Victoria Briones (10 kills, 12.0 points, two aces), Greta Mackintosh (eight kills, nine points, two block assists), and Nadia Sixto (eight kills, 11.0 points, four total blocks).
