NORTON, Mass. – Saint Joseph's College wrapped up the first day at the Chris Fisher Invitational, hosted by Wheaton College, on Friday evening in fifth place with three points. The two-day event resumes tomorrow with a 10:00 AM prelim session followed by the finals at 4:00 PM.
Through 16 events, Roger Williams leads the five-team invitational with 426 points while Babson College is second with 378 points followed by Wheaton (319), Eastern Connecticut State (200), and Saint Joseph's.
FOR THE MONKS:
- Senior Elise Soucy (Saco, Maine) advanced to the finals in the 200-Back and placed 14th with a season-best 2:32.26 performance; she also finished 22nd in the 200-IM prelims (2:41.48) and 14th in the 200-Back prelims (2:34.05)
- Junior Bri Letourneau (Lewiston, Maine) finished 21st in the 200-IM prelims (2:40.12), 28th in the 100-Free prelims (1:10.24)
- Freshman Madison Oh (Ringwood, N.J.) was 29th in the 100-Free prelims (1:13.22)
- Freshman Morgan Farley (Windham, Maine) was 23rd in the 200-IM prelims (2:46.33)
- Letourneau, Soucy, Oh, and Farley placed 12th in the 200-Free relay prelim with a 2:00.92 performance
- Soucy, Farley, Letourneau, and Oh raced to a 12th-place finish in the 400-Medley relay prelims (5:23.82)
