STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College junior guard Remijo Wani (Portland, Maine) has been named to the 2025 D3hoops.com Preseason All-America Third Team, as announced by the organization late last week.
Wani earns the national preseason distinction following a stellar sophomore campaign in which he averaged 18.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 50.6% (201-397) from the floor, 35.8% (67-187) from beyond the arc, and an elite 89.7% (61-68) from the free-throw line.
His breakout season netted an impressive collection of postseason accolades, including NABC Second Team All-America, NABC All-District First Team, D3hoops.com All-Region First Team, GNAC Player of the Year, MMBCWA Player of the Year, and First Team All-Conference and All-State honors.
The Portland native led the GNAC in points per 40 minutes (25.9), ranked second in both total points (530) and field goals made (201), and finished among the league's elite in numerous other categories: fifth in three-pointers made (67), sixth in points per game (18.3) and steals (49), and ninth in both field goal percentage (50.6%) and assists (87).
Wani is one of just 25 players nationwide—and only seven from the New England region—to earn a spot on the D3hoops.com Preseason All-America Team. Other regional honorees include Henry Vetter and Jarrel Okorougo (Trinity), Scott Gyimesi and James Morakis (Tufts), Soren Richardson (Wheaton), and Marcus Montagnino (Endicott).
Saint Joseph's kicks off the 2025-26 campaign with an appearance in the NYU Tip-Off Classic this weekend, as the Monks will face SUNY Old Westbury on Saturday at 4:00 PM and NYU on Sunday at 2:00 PM.
