Top-Seeded Blue Jays Blank Monks in GNAC Semifinal

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Top-seeded University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) scored once late in the first half and twice more after intermission to defeat #4 Saint Joseph's College (Maine), 3–0, in a 2025 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Soccer Tournament Semifinal on Tuesday evening at the USJ Soccer Field.

The Blue Jays took the lead in the 42nd minute when Emmanuel Ofori finished a service from Trevor Sousa and Nico Hamzavi to make it 1–0. USJ extended its advantage early in the second half behind goals from Mario Milardo (57') and Sousa (61'), with Milardo assisting on the latter.

Saint Joseph's generated 15 total shots and five on target but could not break through against USJ goalkeeper Will Slayton, who made five saves in the shutout. SJC keeper Logan Davis turned in a strong effort with eight saves while facing 23 shots.

With the result, Saint Joseph's closes the season with an 8–9–1 overall record, while USJ (12–4–2) advances to the GNAC Championship on Saturday.
