PORTLAND, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College women's golf competed in the Southern Maine Cup at Riverside Golf Course on Saturday, a Ryder Cup–style event featuring best ball, scramble, and alternate shot formats.
The tournament was shortened due to inclement weather, with scores reverting to the ninth hole (par 36). No team scores were kept.
USM's Mackenzie Kingsbury and Remy Levin took top honors with a 35 (-1). For the Monks, senior Averi Beaudoin (Monmouth, Maine) and sophomore Reese Beaudoin (Monmouth, Maine) placed fourth with a 44 (+8), while freshman Cailin Henry (Scarborough, Maine) and senior Kenzie Murphy (Weymouth, Mass.) finished ninth with a 57 (+21).
Saint Joseph's returns to action next Saturday at the Husson Eagle Invitational in Bangor.
