CHICOPEE, Mass. – Saint Joseph's College (10-8, 5-0 GNAC) defeated Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) rival Elms College (8-11, 2-4 GNAC), 91-74, on Wednesday night to extend its winning streak to seven games and remain unbeaten in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Elms struck first, jumping out to a 5-0 lead after Andrew Ciaglo opened with a jumper and drilled a three-pointer just 50 seconds into the contest. Saint Joseph's answered emphatically, ripping off 13 straight points—eight from John Paul Frazier (York, Maine)—to take control and grab a lead it would not surrender the rest of the way.
The Monks carried a 49-39 advantage into halftime and pushed the margin to a game-high 26 points in the second half when senior forward Wani Donato (Portland, Maine) capped a 22-7 run with a bucket at the 13:01 mark.

Saint Joseph's shot 47.1% (16-34) from three-point range and netted 21 points off 17 Elms turnovers. The Blazers countered by shooting just 22.2% (4-18) from long distance despite shooting 57.1% (24-42) from two-point territory.
