BARRE, Vt. – Saint Joseph's College finished fifth among nine teams with a two-round score of 670 at the 2026 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Golf Championship, held Monday and Tuesday at the Country Club of Barre.
Emmanuel College captured its first GNAC Championship with a 624 (312-312), edging Norwich University by two strokes. The Saints earned the conference's automatic berth in the 2027 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship, which will be played May 18 – 21, 2027 at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia.
New England College finished third with a 646, followed by Albertus Magnus (663), Saint Joseph's (670), Dean College (699), Elms College (711), Mitchell College (720) and Lasell University (721).
Junior Kyle Bowlan (Pelham, N.H.) tied for seventh to earn Second Team All-GNAC honors, while senior Noah Tibbetts (Brewer, Maine) represented the Monks on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
FOR THE MONKS:
- Bowlan paced the Monks with a 159 (80-79), improving by one stroke Tuesday and climbing five places from his opening-round position. He finished eight strokes behind medalist Cooper Bertrand of Norwich University.
- Junior Zach Stone (Gray, Maine) placed 22nd with a 170 (83-87)
- Tibbetts finished 28th with a 173 (86-87).
- Junior AJ Davis (Turner, Maine) tied for 30th with a 175 (86-89).
- Freshman Logan Caron (Presque Isle, Maine) made the largest improvement in the SJC lineup, trimming 14 strokes from his opening round to card an 82 Tuesday. He finished 33rd with a 178 (96-82), and his second-round score counted toward the Monks' team total.
