WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced the 2026 Men's Golf Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll, with defending champion New England College earning the top spot heading into this upcoming week's GNAC Men's Golf Championship.
Saint Joseph's College, led by fourth-year Head Coach Don Flanagan, has been picked to finish tied for fifth - with Dean College - after receiving 45 total points in the coaches poll. The Monks placed fifth in the 2025 GNAC Championship with a 668 two-day score and figure to be led by the junior trio of AJ Davis (Turner, Maine), Kyle Bowlan (Pelham, N.H.), and Zach Stone (Gray, Maine) in this year's title bout.
The Pilgrims collected seven first-place votes and totaled 79 points in the poll, edging out host Norwich University, which also received two first-place votes and finished with 71. Emmanuel College landed third with 60 points while Albertus Magnus College collected 50 to get the fourth spot.
Saint Joseph's and Dean College tied for fifth with 45 points while Lasell University will make their championship debut, coming in at seven with 24 points. Mitchell College (16) and Elms College (15) round out the remainder of the poll.
The 2026 GNAC Men's Golf Championship will take place October 5–6 at the Country Club of Barre in East Montpelier, Vermont at 11 am. The tournament is hosted by Norwich University, with teams competing for the GNAC title and an automatic bid to the 2027 NCAA Division III Championship in May during the spring season.
