Guerette protected the advantage with several late stops, including back-to-back saves five seconds apart at 81:02 and 81:07. The Sharks eventually equalized at 85:53 when Emma McEwan scored off an assist from Peyton Renzi.

Saint Joseph's had a chance to regain the lead less than a minute later, but an attempt by freshman Paige Garlock (Scarborough, Maine) was saved at 86:43, and the teams finished level.
