STANDISH, Maine – Second-year Head Coach Christopher Woodside has welcomed 11 newcomers to the Saint Joseph’s College women’s basketball program ahead of the 2026-27 season.
The incoming class features eight guards and three forwards representing five states. All 11 newcomers are members of the Class of 2030.
Four Maine natives join the backcourt, including Jaelyn Jensen and Jenna Jensen (Topsham, Maine), who arrive from Mount Ararat High School. Kylie Lamson (Saco, Maine) comes to Saint Joseph’s from Cheverus High School, while Lillian Norwood (Bar Harbor, Maine) is a Mount Desert Island High School product.
The group also includes three Massachusetts natives. Guards Olivia Gaynor (Peabody, Mass.) and Mila Nikiforow (Millbury, Mass.) arrive from Peabody Veterans Memorial and Millbury high schools, respectively, while forward Fay D’Angelo (Pembroke, Mass.) joins the Monks from Pembroke High School.
New Hampshire guards Grace Riley (Pelham, N.H.) and Ana O’Donnell (Brookline, N.H.) come to Saint Joseph’s from Pelham and Hollis Brookline high schools. Forwards Lilly DaSilveira (Warren, R.I.), a Mt. Hope High School product, and Maria Agostino (Shrewsbury, Pa.), who attended Susquehannock High School, round out the class.
D’Angelo, a 5-foot-10 forward, is the tallest member of the group, followed by 5-foot-9 forwards Agostino and DaSilveira. Lamson and Nikiforow both stand 5-foot-8.
The newcomers bring a range of academic interests. Gaynor, Jaelyn Jensen, and O’Donnell are criminal justice majors, while Agostino and Riley are studying psychology. DaSilveira, Lamson, and Nikiforow are pursuing business-related programs. Jenna Jensen is majoring in elementary education, Norwood is studying nursing, and D’Angelo is pursuing exercise science with a pre-physical therapy focus.
The group joins a Saint Joseph’s program that reached the GNAC Championship last season. The Monks finished 17-11 overall and 10-2 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play before concluding the season as conference runner-up following a 73-64 loss to Emmanuel College.
Saint Joseph’s 25-game regular-season schedule features 16 GNAC contests, nine non-conference matchups, and 11 home games. The Monks open November 7 at Maine Maritime Academy at 2:00 PM before hosting Husson University in their home opener on November 11 at 5:30 PM. Saint Joseph’s will then compete in the Colby College Tournament, facing Colby on November 14 and Thomas College on November 15.
GNAC competition begins December 1 at Colby-Sawyer College, and the regular season concludes February 20 at New England College.
