Rachelle Messuri (Atkinson, N.H.) was a standout two-sport student-athlete at Saint Joseph's, starring in both field hockey and women's lacrosse over four seasons. On the field hockey pitch, the forward appeared in 74 games, totaling 21 goals and 61 points, while earning two All-Conference selections and 2013 Second Team NFHCA All-Region recognition. On the lacrosse field, she played 63 games as a defender and finished her career among the program's leaders in ground balls (230, 4th) and caused turnovers (87, 7th). She capped her collegiate career by being named the 2014 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Woman of the Year.
Lindsay Moore (Barrington, N.H.) was a four-year standout in both softball and women's basketball. On the diamond, she served as the starting shortstop and helped lead the program to four GNAC Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances, finishing her career with a .404 batting average (216-for-535) while compiling 146 runs, 52 doubles, 15 home runs, and 142 RBI in 172 games. She also earned four First Team All-Conference selections and two First Team ECAC All-New England honors. On the hardwood, Moore totaled 924 points, 574 rebounds, 108 assists, and 115 steals in 99 games and was recognized as the GNAC Defensive Player of the Year and a GNAC All-Tournament Team selection.
J.P. Pyne (Milford, Mass.) was a championship-caliber closer who helped Saint Joseph's win three Maine Athletic Conference titles (1999–01). A 2001 captain and First Team All-Conference selection, he is SJC's career leader in saves (24) and set the single-season record with 10 in 2000. After establishing himself as a reliable late-inning arm and leader at the collegiate level, Pyne has built an accomplished coaching career. A four-time Conference Coach of the Year (NECC – 2009, 2010, 2013; NESCAC – 2021), he is entering his eighth season as head coach at Amherst College with 300+ career wins. Pyne has coached at Saint Anselm, Daniel Webster, the University of Maine, Clark University, the Toronto Blue Jays organization, and the Can-Am League, and served as an SJC assistant in 2007. He was inducted into the Futures Collegiate Baseball League Hall of Fame in 2022.
Mike McDevitt (Ellsworth, Maine), who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2011 for his prowess as a men's basketball student-athlete, is being honored for his remarkable career as Saint Joseph's women's basketball head coach. In 33 years on the bench, McDevitt compiled a 667–231 (.743) record, reached 20 wins in 22 seasons, and never endured a losing season. One of the most accomplished coaches in NCAA Division III women's basketball history, he guided the Monks to 19 championships—including six GNAC titles—and 14 national tournament appearances split evenly between the NAIA and NCAA Division III. McDevitt earned 15 conference or regional Coach of the Year honors, highlighted by six GNAC Coach of the Year awards, three Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association distinctions (1999, 2017, 2018), and the 2018 New England Women's Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year award.
The 2002–03 Saint Joseph's Men's Basketball Team made history during the program's transition from decades of NAIA success to NCAA Division III, competing as an Independent and earning the first NCAA tournament berth in school history. In the Monks' first year of NCAA eligibility, they secured a coveted Pool B at-large selection—one of only five awarded nationwide—cementing Saint Joseph's place among the region's elite. Led by Rick Simonds in his 23rd and final season as head coach, the Monks posted a 20–5 record and surged into the postseason having won 10 of their final 11 games. In the 23 years since, only two other Saint Joseph's teams—2006 baseball and 2019 women's basketball—have earned NCAA Tournament at-large berths.
Founded in 2000, the Saint Joseph's College Athletics Hall of Fame honors past athletes, faculty, staff, and friends who have brought distinction to themselves and to Saint Joseph's College through athletics. Guided by a committee and membership with deep connections to the College, the Hall of Fame celebrates its history while continuing to move forward.
With the addition of the 2026 honorees, the list of accomplished athletes, teams, coaches, administrators, and philanthropists inducted into the SJC Athletics Hall of Fame grows to 121.
