Saint Joseph's Cruises Past Regis, 95-70

WESTON, Mass. – Junior guard Remijo Wani (Portland, Maine) tallied 23 points, 18 rebounds, and six assists to help Saint Joseph's College (16-8, 11-0 GNAC) post a convincing 95-70 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory over Regis College (13-11, 4-7 GNAC) on Tuesday night. With the win, the Monks extended their winning streak to 13 games.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Saint Joseph's never trailed and set the tone early, building a double-digit lead in the opening minutes and carrying a commanding 48-26 advantage into halftime. The Monks stayed in control after the break, pushing the margin to its largest at 32 points midway through the second half, as all 17 of the team's healthy players saw time in the victory.

STATS OF THE GAME:

Saint Joseph's shot 44.6% from the floor (33-74), went 14-for-40 from three-point range, and finished 15-for-17 at the free-throw line. The Monks won the rebounding battle by a 50-33 margin and generated 20 second-chance points.
