Keresey & Pierre Bring Home GNAC Weekly Recognition

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph's College of Maine was well-represented on the men's side, with sophomore Isaac Keresey (Pittsfield, Maine) named GNAC Men's Runner of the Week and freshman Stephen Pierre (Turner, Maine) earning both GNAC Men's Rookie and Field Athlete of the Week recognition following strong performances at Boston University and the USM Husky Invitational.

Keresey claimed Men's Runner of the Week after putting together a strong weekend at BU, running 1:57.14 in the 800 meters and circling back with a 4:29.06 mile against a loaded field. Keresey now ranks second in the GNAC in the 800 and sits first in the conference in the mile as the Monks continue to build momentum through the heart of the indoor season.
Pierre delivered a huge all-around showing at the USM Husky Invitational to earn both Men's Rookie and Field Athlete of the Week honors.

The first-year standout placed second in the 55-meter hurdles (8.01), won the long jump (6.92m / 22' 8.5"), and cleared 1.85m (6' 0.75") in the high jump. His long jump mark set a new Saint Joseph's school record and ranks seventh in New England Division III. Pierre now leads the GNAC in the long jump and 60-meter hurdles while sitting tied for second in the high jump.
