LEWISTON, Maine – Saint Joseph's College (1-1) fell to Bates College (2-2), 20-3, in non-conference women's lacrosse action on Wednesday evening at Garcelon Field.
SAINT JOSEPH'S LEADERS:
Junior midfielder Dinah Wadleigh (Augusta, Maine) paced the offense with two goals and junior attack Taylor Dumond (Minisink, N.Y.) scored a man-down tally in the setback. In goal, senior Alexis Eldridge (Effingham, N.H.) made three saves in 24:51 and sophomore Julia Price (Newbury, Mass.) added three tops over the final 35:09. Sophomore midfielder Ella Highbarger (Kennebunk, Maine) recorded three caused turnovers and a pair of ground balls, while Eldridge and Price collected five ground balls apiece. Senior defender Quinn Brown (Londonderry, N.H.) also added three ground balls.
BATES LEADERS:
Rebecca Bradford led Bates with five goals and one assist, while Alison Montague totaled four goals and one assist. Katie Grayson added three goals and one assist, Charlotte Carter posted two goals and two assists, Abby Walter won 10 draw controls, and Maddy Cagle made three saves in the win.
