Saint Joseph’s & Thomas Split Two-Game Set

STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College (8-14) split a non-conference softball doubleheader with Thomas College (7-12) on Wednesday evening at Richard W. Bailey Field, dropping a 12-8 slugfest in the opener before bouncing back with a 6-2 victory in game two.

The Monks pounded out 25 hits and scored 14 runs across the twinbill and, after Thomas used a six-run sixth to erase a late deficit in game one, Saint Joseph's answered with a steady all-around effort in the nightcap to earn the split.
