STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards have been announced and Saint Joseph's College freshman Tyler Nelson (Medford, Mass.) has been selected as the GNAC Baseball Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.

Nelson was dominant in a win over New England College last Tuesday, as the freshman southpaw allowed just two hits with no earned runs or walks while striking out six over six innings in the conference victory.

In seven appearances, including six starts, Nelson owns a 3.82 ERA with a 3-0 record and 35 strikeouts over 30.2 innings. Opponents are hitting just .269 against him.

Saint Joseph's (30-10, 14-6 GNAC) has earned the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament and will host No. 6 Norwich University in a first-round matchup on Friday at 1:30 PM.
