BANGOR, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College men's and women's golf teams competed in the 36th Annual Husson Eagle Invitational at Bangor Municipal Golf Course on Saturday.
The Monks' top men's entry placed seventh with a four-player score of 321 (+37), while the SJC B squad tied for 10th after posting a 325 (+41).
Freshman Beck Edgerly (Saco, Maine) paced the Royal Blue with a seven-over 78, finishing tied for 18th overall. Junior Kyle Bowlan (Pelham, N.H.) led the second SJC group and tied for 14th with a six-over 77.
Husson's second team won the tournament with an even-par 284, finishing 23 strokes ahead of runner-up Southern Maine Community College and the University of Maine-Presque Isle, which tied for second with matching 307 scores.
Husson's Michael Bruce claimed medalist honors after firing a two-under 69.
