BIDDEFORD, Maine – The University of New England (1-0-0) scored three first-half goals en route to a 4-0 victory over Saint Joseph's College (0-1-0) in the 2026 women's soccer season opener at Barbara J. Hazard Field on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Gillian McGee opened the scoring in the seventh minute before Ailey Mann and Raegan Dillon added goals to send the Nor'easters into halftime with a 3-0 advantage. McGee netted her second goal of the contest in the 64th minute to account for the final margin.

TEAM STATS:

UNE held advantages in shots (31-3), shots on goal (15-0), and corner kicks (7-0). Senior Bridget Davis (Milford, Mass.) recorded two of the Monks' three shots.

THE KEEPERS:

Junior Ashlyn Guerette (Merrimack, N.H.) made 11 saves for Saint Joseph's. Haley Coombs and Sam Kowalick split time in goal for the Nor'easters.

HISTORICALLY SPEAKING:

With the loss, Saint Joseph's falls to 14-18-4 all-time versus the University of New England.
