MANCHESTER, Maine – Junior AJ Davis (Turner, Maine) carded a 78 to lead the Saint Joseph's College men's golf team at the Mariners Invitational, hosted by Maine Maritime Academy at Augusta Country Club on Tuesday.

The Monks finished eighth in the nine-team field with a four-player score of 330. Davis tied for 15th among 45 competitors, while freshman Logan Caron (Presque Isle, Maine) tied for 27th with an 82.

Junior Kyle Bowlan (Pelham, N.H.) shot an 84 to tie for 31st, and junior Zach Stone (Gray, Maine) completed the team scoring with an 86, tying for 36th. Junior Noah Schaeffer (Gray, Maine) added a 91 and tied for 42nd.

Husson University won the tournament with a team score of 288, followed by the University of Southern Maine (303) and the University of New England (309). Husson's Juan Hernandez earned medalist honors with a 71.

Saint Joseph's returns to action on Sunday with an appearance in the UMaine-Augusta Invitational at The Meadows Golf Club.
