CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College placed fifth at the SMCC Shootout with a team score of 332 at Purpoodock Country Club on Tuesday.
Junior Kyle Bowlan (Pelham, N.H.) led the Monks with a nine-over-par 80 to tie for 14th in the 36-player field.
TEAM RESULTS:
The University of Southern Maine claimed the team title with a 300, followed by Husson University (312) and host Southern Maine Community College (313). The University of New England finished fourth (329), three strokes ahead of Saint Joseph's (332), while Maine Maritime Academy (341) and the University of Maine at Farmington (350) rounded out the seven-team field.
Southern Maine's Will Farschon earned medalist honors with a one-over-par 72.
SAINT JOSEPH'S RESULTS:
- Junior Kyle Bowlan (Pelham, N.H.) tied for 14th with an 80 (+9).
- Senior Noah Tibbetts (Brewer, Maine) tied for 18th with an 82 (+11).
- Junior AJ Davis (Turner, Maine) tied for 22nd with an 84 (+13).
- Junior Alex Watts (Saco, Maine) finished 28th with an 86 (+15).
- Freshman Logan Caron (Presque Isle, Maine) tied for 30th with an 89 (+18).
