STANDISH, Maine – The 2026 Saint Joseph's College volleyball regular-season schedule has been announced. The Monks are slated to play 27 matches, with the season opener coming on the road against the University of Southern Maine on Tuesday, September 1, at 6:00 PM. The season concludes on Saturday, November 7, against Lasell University at 1:00 PM.
2026 Schedule at a Glance
Under the direction of ninth-year Head Coach Jon Roberts, Saint Joseph's will play 13 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matches and 14 non-conference matches. The Monks have 12 home contests, 11 away contests, and four neutral-site matches as part of their team trip to Virginia Beach, hosted by Batten University.
The Monks will travel to Virginia Beach, facing four opponents for the first time in program history. Saint Joseph's will take on Millikin University (Sept. 4), Rowan University (Sept. 4), Swarthmore College (Sept. 5), and William Peace University (Sept. 5). The Monks will also host multiple non-conference matchups against Husson University (Sept. 12), Plymouth State University (Sept. 15), Nichols College (Sept. 19), Salem State University (Sept. 24), Fisher College (Oct. 1), and Wheaton College (Oct. 31).
Conference & Postseason
Saint Joseph's opens GNAC play with a home contest against the University of Saint Joseph Connecticut on September 12 at 11:00 AM. The remainder of the Monks' conference home schedule includes contests against Dean College (Sept. 19), New England College (Oct. 15), Albertus Magnus University (Oct. 24), Regis College (Oct. 31), and Colby-Sawyer College (Nov. 4).
The 2026 GNAC Tournament begins with quarterfinal action on November 10 and continues with the semifinal and championship rounds on November 12 and 14, respectively. The tournament champion earns the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament, which begins on November 19.
Looking Back
Saint Joseph's enters 2026 after posting an 18-13 overall record and an 11-2 mark in GNAC play last fall. The Monks defeated Simmons University, 3-0, in the conference quarterfinals before falling to second-seeded Lasell University, 3-1, in the semifinal round.

vs. Regis College
Saint Joseph's hosts Regis in a late-season conference matchup on Halloween. The teams played a five-set thriller in their most recent meeting, with the Monks emerging with the victory.
