Dan Morin

Dan Morin

Dan Morin is in his second year as a Saint Joseph’s College assistant baseball coach after previously serving seven seasons as the assistant varsity and first base coach at nearby Gorham High School. A Lewiston native, Morin was part of a Rams coaching staff that advanced to the state championship game in his first year and qualified for the playoffs every season during his tenure. He began his baseball coaching career in the mid-1990s as an assistant at Gray-New Gloucester High School under former Monks catcher and high school teammate Don Plourde ’91.

A United States Coast Guard veteran, Morin served four years on active duty, participating in—and later leading—numerous search and rescue operations as a petty officer. He graduated from Lewiston High School after also attending Saint Dominic High School, where he lettered in baseball at both schools. Morin went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Pittsburgh.

With the Monks, Morin has served as first base coach and later bullpen coach, while also overseeing bunting and baserunning instruction. He and his wife, Jessika, live in Gorham and have three daughters in college: Katy, Amy, and Amanda.
