Biography

2017: Played in all 15 games as a junior midfielder captain...found the net 16 times with 7 assists for a total of 23 points...scored 3 man up goals with 44 ground balls...also recorded 8 caused turnovers on the season.

2016: Played in 12 games as a sophomore midfielder…netted 15 times on the year with 8 assists for total 23 points…added 21 groundballs and 8 caused turnovers…in 10 games played netted at least 1 goal…in two games scored 3 goals vs Regis College and Thomas(ME)…added multiple games of dishing out 2 assists

2015: Played in 12 games as a freshman midfielder…netted nine goals and dished out six assists…registered two goals against UNE…posted one goal and one assist versus both Anna Maria and Maine-Farmington…notched one goal and two assists against Lasell…scored the team’s lone goal in a defeat at the hands of Southern Maine.

High School: Played four years of varsity lacrosse at Watertown High School…named as a League All-Star his senior year…also played three years of varsity hockey and football…collected League All-Star accolades in football as a senior.

Personal: Matthew Donnell, born in Boston, Mass…son of Wendy and David Donnell…majoring in Exercise Science.
