High School: Competed in soccer, cross country, and track at New Smyrna Beach High School…earned All-Area First Team honors and was a state qualifier for cross country and track…helped his soccer team claim a District Championship…appeared in the cross country regional four times and states twice…competed in the track & field regionals twice…listed on the honor roll all four years…three-year member of the National Honor Society…played club for the Port Orange Soccer Club for six years and the Florida Elite Soccer Academy for four years.

Community Service: Served as a volunteer coach and participated in church cleanups.

Personal: Griffin Carter Cooney, son of Steve and Kim Cooney…has one sibling, Camryn Cooney.
