Meghan Graff was hired as an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach in early July of 2025. A standout student-athlete and rising coaching talent, Graff brings a wealth of basketball experience, leadership, and passion to the Monks' program.
Graff joins Saint Joseph's following a decorated collegiate playing career at Bates College, where she was a record-setting guard and a cornerstone of the Bobcats' success. Her accolades include becoming Bates' all-time leading scorer, being named NESCAC player of the year and earning WBCA second team All-America honors. Known for her leadership, poise under pressure, and high basketball IQ, Graff helped elevate Bates to one of the top programs in the NESCAC during her tenure.
In addition to her playing success, Graff has been coaching with XLP, a Maine-based AAU program focused on holistic player development. There, she has been instrumental in mentoring young athletes and preparing them for collegiate competition, while also emphasizing leadership and personal growth on and off the court.
"We are thrilled to welcome Meghan to the Saint Joseph's basketball family," said Head Coach Chris Woodside. "She's not only a tremendous basketball mind but also an incredible leader who connects with student-athletes in authentic and impactful ways. Her playing resume speaks for itself, and her coaching experience with XLP shows her commitment to developing young women into confident athletes and leaders."
Graff is equally enthusiastic about her new role. "I couldn't be more excited to start coaching at St. Joe's alongside Chris and an amazing young group of women," she said. "The start of the season can't come soon enough for me."
As a coach, Graff is eager to share the knowledge she gained throughout her career. "I am looking forward to sharing my experience as a former player as I step into this coaching role," she said. "I'm most excited about helping the team grow, not just as basketball players, but as leaders and women, while continuing to build a championship-level program."
Coach Woodside is confident Graff's impact will be felt immediately. "She knows what it takes to win and is passionate about empowering players to reach their full potential. Meghan's energy, insight, and championship mindset are exactly what we were looking for."
When asked what drew her to the program, Graff pointed to the Monks' winning tradition. "I'm grateful to join a program with such a long-standing history of success. Saint Joe's has consistently been a championship contender, and I'm looking forward to helping continue that tradition."
