Why Saint Joseph's? I decided to attend Saint Joseph's College because of the great reputation the nursing program has, the opportunity I was given to continue playing basketball, and the beautiful campus.
High School: Played basketball, soccer, and softball for Southern Aroostook Community School…Garnered a pair of All-Aroostook All-Star Team (2020, 2023) honors and claimed Honorable Mention All-State accolades three times…Chosen as the Bangor Daily News Tournament MVP (2022-2023) and named as a MABC McDonald's All-Star and Aroostook Senior All-Star…2023 Miss Maine Basketball semifinalist…Helped lead her team to Regional Championships (2018/19, 2019/20, 2021/22, 2022/23) and State Championships (2018/19, 2021/22, 2022/23)…1,000 point scorer…Selected as a member of the All Aroostook All-Star Team for soccer (2020-2022) and softball (2021-2023)…Listed on high honor roll and a member of the National Honor Society…Was Vice President of her class and graduated Magna Cum Laude…played club for Maine React (2020-2022).
Community Service: Helped with the Southern Aroostook Scholarship Fund, was an annual clothing drive volunteer, volunteered at Southern Aroostook Community Service Day, was a Hoop Camp volunteer, and a Southern Aroostook food volunteer.
Personal: Madison Marie Russell, daughter of Kimberly and Brett Russell…sister to Trafton and Harrison Russell.
