2018: Played in 16 games while starting 15 as a junior midfielder…she was second on the team in goals and points with 44 and added 13 assists for a total of 57 points on her way to being named to the All-GNAC 2nd team …she led the team in ground balls with 75 and in caused turnovers with 26…was also second on the team with 84 draws controlled… registered 6 goals in an 11-7 win against USM on March 15th…in the very next game against Simmons she netted 5 goals and 2 assists in a 16-9 victory…scored 5 more goals on April 7th in a 20-10 triumph over Norwich…registered 5 goals on April 21st in a 17-4 win at Rivier.
2017: Started all 17 games during her sophomore season…scored 21 goals with 17 assists for 38 total points…also recorded 35 ground balls, 21 draw controls, and 18 caused turnovers…established career-highs in all statistical categories…netted two goals with two assists in a lopsided win over Thomas College on March 8th…scored three goals with two assists and four ground balls in an 11-10 victory over Southern Maine on April 24th…registered three goals and an assist with two ground balls and six draw controls in a 17-1 triumph over the University of Saint Joseph on April 30th…scored four times in a 17-6 GNAC Quarterfinal victory over Norwich University on May 3rd…added a goal and two assists with six ground balls in an 11-10 GNAC Semifinal loss at the hands of Simmons College two days later.
2016: Played in 18 of 19 games as a freshman midfielder…recorded 9 goals and 1 assist for a total of 10 points…picked up 14 groundballs as well…had two games with 3 goals in each at Thomas (ME) and at St. Joseph (Conn.)
High School: Played three years of varsity field hockey for Barb Marois, making it to the Western Maine Tournament her sophomore and junior year, and winning states her senior year...garnered MFHA all-state player...also earned honor roll all four years of high school...played ice hockey and lacrosse.
Personal: Kayla Rey Kelly, born in Honolulu, Hawaii...daughter of Darryl and Rosa Kelly...majoring in Exercise Science.
